Think of us as a PTO for All Charter Schools in Georgia
Most of Georgia’s charter schools have their own parent-led committees PTO’s and PTA’s to work with their school leader on specific issues at their school, special events and fundraising. But there is so much more that parents can do to support their school!
G-PAN will unite parents from all charter schools throughout the state, enabling
parents to be connected on issues relevant to the entire charter school community. We'll keep parents informed and amplify their voices when legislation affecting charter schools requires support. G-PAN will make it easy to be an effective parent advocate for your school.
G-PAN's Mission
G-PAN's
mission is to ensure that the voice of public charter school parents is heard
on policy and fiscal issues that impact their children and their schools. G-PAN
is committed to empowering, educating, leading and mobilizing charter school parents
to defend their schools when they come under attack, and advocate for equitable
treatment and resources for all public charter schools.
Who is G-PAN?
G-PAN is a growing network of parent advocates
led by Nina Rubin, and is currently housed at the Georgia Charter Schools
Association in Atlanta. Nina oversees the network’s outreach to
community, government, grassroots, philanthropic and public education leaders.
